About Our Company

American Exchanger Services, Inc. (AM-EX) is a manufacturer of the highest quality and most efficient heat transfer equipment including feedwater heaters, unfired heat exchangers, main steam condensers, and other miscellaneous equipment for the global market. AM-EX is a certified ASME Code Shop holding the “U” Stamp for fabrication, the “R” Stamp for repairs, and the “PP” Stamp for power piping. We are a member of HEI, helping to write the standards for the entire heat exchanger industry.

AM-EX is headquartered in West Allis, Wisconsin with fabrication and machining facilities in Hartford, Wisconsin. AM-EX was incorporated in 1984 by Thomas J. Muldoon, PE. Today, under the same ownership, AM-EX leads the industry in the design, fabrication, and service of heat transfer equipment for the Power Generation, Process, Nuclear, Pulp and Paper, and Renewable Energy industries.

Tom J Muldoon

President

After working for UOP and Perfex, Tom Founded AM-EX in 1985 to provide field and shop services and the manufacturing of heat transfer equipment including high pressure feedwater heaters, condensers and other heat exchangers for the power, process, and paper industries. s. AM-EX has grown to also provides advance fabrication technologies for the manufacturer of high reliability feedwater heaters and heat exchangers.

Tom contributes to the industry as an author of numerous ASME papers, and presents at countless EPRI Symposiums on High Pressure Feedwater Heaters and Joint Power Generation Conferences. Paper topics include Explosive Welding Repairs in Nuclear and Critical Service Applications, Field Modifications of Heat Exchangers and the Use of a Second Law Approach for Cost Modeling of the Deterioration in pPower Plant Equipment, Advanced Sesigns of High Pressure Feedwater Heaters. In addition to the expertise in the field of heat transfer, AM-EX also has expertise in the areas of high energy fabrication.

Joe Bruno

VP Sales and Marketing

Mr. Bruno joined AM-EX in November of 2001 to develop and expand the service and product recognition in the Power markets.

Before joining AM-EX, Mr. Bruno served in several positions for BDT Engineering.
